Educational plan and teaching rules

To complete the Ph.D. degree, the Ph.D. student must earn 180 CFRs (Research Training Credits) over the three years of the Ph.D. program.

Credits are awarded as a result of:

  • Project work
    Activities on the research project and writing of the thesis
  • Individual study
  • Educational lactivities of the Courses and the Doctoral School
    Attendance must be at least 70 percent of the hours for doctoral students with doctoral fellowships and 30 percent for those without fellowships
    Attendance must be collected by the Lecturer
    Attendance entitles the student to take the exam, where applicable. Positive evaluation is equivalent to the achievement of the corresponding CFRs.
  • Other activities
    Participation in seminars, conferences, courses, etc. of the doctoral student's choice
    Tutorial activities in support of the internships and research of three-year and master's students
    Integrative teaching activities, which may be conducted for a maximum of 40 hours per year

Starting with the XXXV cycle, English language proficiency with a level of at least B2 is mandatory to be eligible for the final exam.
